Smartphones are successful because of the applications they offer to their consumers. People are buying smartphones so that they can use all those useful applications which can make their life easy. On September 19, 2013 Gartner Inc. (Technology Company) said that the number of applications both free and paid will soar to 102 billion by the end of 2013.
It is surprising to see that, 2012 has seen the download of 64 billion
apps. It is expected that this number will reach the sky-high of 269
billion in 2017. The revenue from mobile app will be $26 billion in 2013
with comparison to $18 billion last year. This is a very good amount
considering that this sum is only coming from paid application and only
9% of the total application are paid.
